How we handle your details
Short version: we keep the least we can, we never sell it, and you can have it deleted whenever you ask.
What we collect
- If you join the waiting list: your first name and email address. That is all we ask for.
- If you message us: your name, email, what your message is about, and the message itself.
- Automatically, when a form is submitted: your IP address and rough browser details. Our form tool records this to catch spam. We do not use it for anything else.
What we do with it
- Tell you when a seat opens in the community. That is the only reason the waiting list exists.
- Reply to you if you wrote to us.
- Nothing else. No advertising, no profiling, no selling or sharing with anyone who wants to market to you.
Who can see it
The people who run Schwami & Me, and the services that keep the site running: our website host, our email delivery service and our mailing list tool. They process your details on our behalf and are not allowed to use them for their own purposes.
We never publish your details, and we never tell anyone you are on the list.
A note on why this matters here
Joining this community can say something personal about you. We know that. We do not ask about your diagnosis, your condition, or anything medical, and we would rather you never told us. A name and an email is genuinely all we want.
How long we keep it
Waiting list details stay until you ask us to remove them, or until the list has clearly served its purpose. Messages sent through the contact form are cleared out once they are dealt with.
Your say
- Ask us what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it. We will, and we will not ask you why.
- Leave the waiting list at any point.
Email hello@schwamiandme.com and we will sort it out. We aim to reply within a few days.
